Indonesian Police Reveal Identities of Looting Suspects in Sahroni and Sri Mulyani’s Houses

BACAKORAN.CO – The Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polda Metro Jaya) have identified the perpetrators behind the vandalism and looting of the homes of House of Representatives (DPR) member Ahmad Sahroni and Finance Minister Sri Mulyani.
As reported, the houses of several DPR members— ncluding Ahmad Sahroni, Eko Patrio, Uya Kuya, and Nafa Urbach were vandalized and looted by mobs after their public statements in the media were deemed offensive to the public.
Not only DPR members, but the private residence of Sri Mulyani in Bintaro Sector III, South Tangerang, was also attacked and her belongings looted by unidentified individuals.
Jakarta Police Chief Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri said the suspects are currently in the process of being arrested.
“Just wait, we will take firm action, arrests will be made. Please pray that everything goes smoothly,” Inspector General Asep said at the Jakarta City Hall on Monday, September 1, 2025.

So far, Polda Metro Jaya has arrested 1,240 people suspected of carrying out acts of vandalism during demonstrations in Jakarta in recent days.
Inspector General Asep revealed that those arrested came from Banten, West Java, and other regions across the island of Java.
“From the start of the incidents until now, Polda Metro Jaya has arrested around 1,240 individuals, many of whom came from outside Jakarta.
Some from West Java, from other parts of Java, and from Banten,” Asep explained.
He noted that the protest crowds over the past week consisted of various groups, including students, university students, teachers, and members of the general public who joined spontaneously.
